We Are Thankful For Our Missionaries

Chris and Kathy Gouzoules have been church planters in Tenancingo, Mexico for 15 years. In that time they have done much to bring the Good News of Jesus to people though community outreach, ministry to women and children, Bible studies, mentoring and discipleship of new Christ-followers, leadership training and pastoring their church, Comunidad Cristiana.

The Gouzouleses and their children (Samuel, Ana Luz and Nico) have been on home assignment in the Gurnee area for the last year. Home assignment is a time to have face to face conversations with supporting churches and individuals, build new relationships and be refreshed and renewed.

Last summer, World Outreach sent a mission team to Mexico. These trips are often life changing and provide people a chance to walk beside the missionaries that Immanuel supports. Samuel Adamek was one of those that went to Mexico this past summer. Samuel shares:

“The Mexico trip literally made me want to be a missionary. Well, in reality I had been thinking and praying a lot about it and that trip was just God’s way of revealing to me what my strengths and weaknesses are and how He could use me in a place like that. This is a life-long mission that I am eager to embark on.”

We at Immanuel are thankful that God has called the Gouzoules to serve him in full-time ministry. They are continuing to ready themselves to return to Mexico in March. Please continue to pray for them as a family and for church planting opportunities among the 70 towns without a church.  It is because of your generous support that they are able to share God’s word. Thank you!
