Thinking of missions? Have a heart for Haiti? Then join Immanuel Church in Haiti this summer!!
Our lives are filled with defining moments. Most of these “defining moments” are ones that were not comfortable. But when we look back, we realize that they helped define who we are and who we are becoming.
That is what going on a Mission Trip is. It is a defining moment that shapes us into becoming more Christ- like.
Is God inviting you to participate in one of the opportunities below? To take the first step toward engaging in a defining moment that you will never regret, read on!
The team will partner with Pastor Jephthe Lucien and the ministry that he has in Pignon. We will be doing ministry among children, youth and families at Haut Savanette, the church/school that Immanuel adopted. No matter what your skill is, we need you! More planning will happen as the team forms and we see the gifting of each person who is on it!
Who: Open to adults and IMPACT (high school ministry) students, sophomores and up
When: July 25 – August 1
Past Haiti team members had this to say:
I look forward to being the hands, feet and heart for God. I don’t know what I will encounter, I don’t know who will touch my life, I don’t know whose life I’ll touch….but I do know God has and will encounter everything with me as I go. – Patti
We’re all told that our God is a big God, but in Haiti I finally realized just how universal He is. Here I was sitting in a tent made of sticks and tarps that was their church, praising the same God that we worship at Immanuel on Sundays. It was just a big revelation to me. – Tarin
Missions trips are always unique because of the overpowering feeling of God’s presence. Things that we like to call God moments occur very frequently on trips due to our awareness of God. – Zach
